tasting_room_photoHalter Ranch is a 2000 acre winery & vineyard located in the heart of the Paso Robles’ Westside Adelaida District. When you enter the property you can enjoy the view of the historic buildings. Then you will see a covered bridge which crosses Las Tablas Creek that connects the the old with the new sections of the winery. After the bridge there is the new gravity flow winery and wine caves.

The winery utilizes gravity flow in all aspects of the winemaking process.  Gravity flow allows the winemaker to handle the fruit in the gentlest way possible, without pumping, creating a variety of very special wines.

The winery counts with green building environmentally friendly features and methods.  The winery has been named and certified as sustainable farming. Farming sustainably means relying whenever possible on organic methods of fertilization, weed removal, pest control and mildew protection. In 2008 Halter Ranch achieved the SIP Certification (Sustainability in Practice), a rigorous, third party review which certifies our commitment to sustainable practices.

The primary wines produced at Halter Ranch are Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Côtes de Paso and Côtes de Paso Blanc (red & white Rhône blends), a Grenache-based Rosé and our Estate Reserve, Ancestor.  They also make small quantities of Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and Grenache Blanc. You can enjoy all of the wines at the tasting room.

Fitcation participants will be able to discover the Halter Ranch and enjoy a tour of the facilities and wine tasting
